Established as an Incorporated Administrative Agency under the Act of the Incorporated Administrative Agency - Japan International Cooperation Agency (Act No. 136, 2002), JICA aims to contribute to the promotion of international cooperation as well as the sound development of Japanese and global economy by supporting the socioeconomic development, recovery or economic stability of developing regions.

The World Bank

The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the governments of poorer countries for the purpose of pursuing capital projects. It comprises two institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Development Association.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)

JBIC's mission is to contribute to the sound development of Japan and international economy and society by conducting financial operation in the following four fields:

  • Promoting the overseas development and securement of resources which are important for Japan

  • Maintaining and improving the international competitiveness of Japanese industries

  • Promoting the overseas business having the purpose of preserving the global environment, such as preventing global warming

  • Preventing disruptions to international financial order or taking appropriate measures with respect to damages caused by such disruption

Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN)

JOIN is a “HANDS-ON” fund: we not only provide funding but we also bring Japanese expertise and high-end technology solutions to infrastructure projects worldwide.
