Japan-Türkiye Construction Industry Conference to be Held in Istanbul

On October 1, 2024, the "Japan-Türkiye Construction Industry Conference" will take place in Istanbul, hosted by the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) and with the participation of key organizations including the Turkish Ministry of Economy, the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, the Overseas Construction Association of Japan, Inc. (OCAJI), as well as representatives from prominent Japanese construction firms.

The conference will focus on exploring cooperation opportunities between Japanese and Turkish companies, both within Türkiye and in third countries. The event will feature two key sessions, with discussions centered on potential collaborations in Africa and Ukraine. This conference aims to enhance the strategic partnerships between Japanese and Turkish construction industries, leveraging their combined expertise to address global construction challenges, particularly in regions requiring infrastructure development and post-conflict reconstruction.

Through this initiative, both nations seek to strengthen their ties and expand their roles in international construction and development projects, contributing to economic growth and stability in emerging markets.
